Are You Focusing on Prosperity?

By Sandy Forster

We attract into our life everything we desire through our thoughts and the power of our mind. We attract abundance, prosperity and riches into our lives when we attach emotions such as love, desire and gratitude for the money (no matter how little) we do have. And we repel abundance, prosperity and riches just as easily, by attaching fear, frustration and anger to our thoughts around the lack of money in our lives.

Your 60,000 Thoughts a Day

Maybe you are already doing some great ‘attracting work’. You could be visualizing yourself as wealthy, doing chosen affirmations around abundance, reading your goals on creating riches and generally putting it ‘out there’. But on average, you think around 60,000 thoughts a day and 90% of these are repetitive. Many of them are the same (poverty consciousness) thoughts you had this morning, last night, last week, last month, last year – is it any wonder you stay in the same place financially year after year?

Many years ago, after realising my default thoughts were focusing on lack, I began to consciously focus on abundance. The interesting thing is you don’t have to focus on riches and wealth 24 hours a day 7 days a week to attract more of it into your life. Wealth just has to be your predominant mental attitude or focus. In other words, you just have to be focusing more on abundance than on the lack of abundance to begin to bring it into your experience.

Your ‘Unconscious’ Affirmations

For instance, let’s say you are doing a half-hour meditation morning and night, visualising three times a day and reading out your goals or affirmations three times day – you still have around fourteen hours (if you take out your sleeping time) when you do what I call ‘unconscious affirmations’ – when you continually think the same things over and over again. Those ‘unconscious affirmations’ are the ones that continue to sabotage all the good work you are doing.

You need to do is make a shift in your focus toward prosperity and abundance to create wealth beyond your wildest dreams. Simply shutting out the media, and being grateful on a daily basis may be big enough changes for your entire predominant mental attitude to shift .

Predominant Mental Attitude

Because predominant doesn’t mean every second, it means ‘the most’. For instance if you’re thinking about bills, debts and how little you have 49% of the time, and then focusing on prosperity and abundance 51% of the time – your predominant mental attitude would be toward creating wealth.

Now, let me just add if that WAS the case, it would probably be a slow and arduous journey with money continually coming in and going out and coming in and going out and you’d never quite seem to get too far ahead. With a percentage breakdown like that, it’s a like trying to drive a car with one foot on the accelerator and one foot on the brake. You will be hopping erratically and not really getting anywhere FAST!

It’s exactly the same with your predominant mental attitude. As long as you MAINLY think about what you DO want to attract into your life, then it is sure to come; it HAS to happen. But your results will be so much quicker and appear so much easier if you focus on what you want 70% of time, or 80%, or maybe even 90%.

So start shifting YOUR focus and you’ll start attracting your desires – I guarantee it!
